عن أبي هريرة أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال وفي حديث بكر
أنه سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: (( أرأيتم لو أن نهرا بباب أحدكم يغتسل منه كل يوم خمس مرات هل يبقى من درنه شيء قالوا لا يبقى من درنه شيء قال فذلك مثل الصلوات الخمس يمحو الله بهن الخطايا )). رواه مسلم

Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) say: If there were a river at the door of one of you in which he washes himself five times everyday, would there remain any filth (on his body)? They said: None of his filth would remain (on his body). He said: That is like the five Prayers by which Allah obliterates sins
